The Dance Institute of Washington

The Dance Institute of Washington (DIW) is a dance education institute committed to providing children and youth the opportunity to develop socially, emotionally, intellectually, and artistically through the discipline of dance. It offers a studio school which features the Pre-Professional Program, Community Program, and Pre-Dance Program. It also provides an onsite after school dance education program.

 DIW students have performed and received honors on prestigious stages regionally and nationally, including: Wolf Traps Children’s Theatre-in-the-Woods, the Lincoln Theatre, Carter Barron Amphitheatre, the Kennedy Center, and the Youth America Grand Prix.

 The Dance Institute of Washington (DIW) es una escuela de baile que le da la oportunidad a sus estudiantes de desarrollar habilidades sociales, emocionales, intelectuales y artríticas. Ofrece programas pre- profesionales como también programas para la comunidad. Uno de los programas mas populares es el enfocado para niños y niñas para después de la escuela.  Los estudiantes de DIW han recibido prestigosios premios en escenarios tanto regionales como nacionales. Por ejemplo: Traps Children’s Theatre-in-the-Woods, the Lincoln Theatre, Carter Barron Amphitheatre, the Kennedy Center, and the Youth America Grand Prix. Tambien, la mayoria de sus estudiantes han avanzado en su carrera professional y asisten a universidades como University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Marymount Manhattan, SUNY Purchase, and Temple University.
